Northwestern University
In 2023, I was asked to create branding for Northwestern University and the Mellon Foundation’s seasonal program, “On Decolonizing Theatre.”
We started brainstorming with those three words, and went through many exploratory drawings attempting to represent theatre’s complicated tie-ins with colonization.
Shown are various thumbnails used for brainstorming, which feature depictions of broken ancient theaters, colonial boats and foot-lamps, and differing tensions and hues of curtain fabrics.
In the end, the tattered curtain design was chosen, contrasted with a modern depiction of graffiti. This curtain was used on merchandise, as well as updated for the performance posters as the season progressed. Additionally, I illustrated a few icons to create some variety in theme for the posters.

Mama Mocha’s
I spent most of my twenties working as a barista in the southeast. Mama Mocha’s Coffee Emporium, and the community around it in Opelika, Alabama were a massive resource of creative energy.
I was commissioned many times by shop owner, Sarah Barnett Gill for various projects throughout the years. Stamp cards, bags, posters and more. Most of this has been lost to time, but pictured is our most recent collaboration in 2023. This sticker details the anatomy of an espresso shot and embraces the colorful energy and heart of the shop.

Park Pictures
In 2023 I worked on a wonderful project to create pre-visualization images for a commercial shoot.
The project was completed in one day. The creative director sent me unedited photos while location scouting. They came with a small summary of changes needed to show the director the locations full potential. I quickly doctored the photos and sent them back to the team.

Ally Coffee
The 2022 winter season brought me the opportunity to illustrate a postcard for Ally Coffee’s annual staff holiday letter. Instead of using traditional Christmas imagery due to the company’s global nature, I decided to paint a warm winter breakfast, a commonplace comfort.
I chose coffee plants and a traditional Peruvian holiday breakfast as inspirations for my ideal winter morning.

Auburn University’s ‘Cabaret’
The creative height of my studies at Auburn was working as the assistant set designer for the university’s production of the musical ‘Cabaret’.
I painted floors, built models, made posters and playbills, and graffitied walls. It was an unforgettable experience.
Shown are two of four posters created for the theatre lobby. They were digitally painted in photoshop from references I photographed of the main actors of the production.
Pictured are images of the scale model I constructed of Fereshteh Rostampour’s stage design for the production. Model is built at 1/4” scale of cardstock, foamcore and acrylic paint.
